Written by Élisa Dupont and illustrated by Sarah Flan.

From age 2.

Gustave doesn’t like to be hugged. He doesn’t like being hugged, grabbed or kissed.
But adults, his little sister and even his cat don’t care and Gustave is fed up.
It’s during a walk in the forest and while observing its inhabitants that one of them, covered in prickles, catches Gustave’s attention.
La Tactique du hérisson aims to encourage children to gain self-confidence and listen to their desires. They have the right to express their disapproval, each in their own way.
This album also highlights the inter-generational bond by emphasising the relationship of trust between Gustave and his grandfather.
It’s a gentle album that explores the issue of consent.
